No one is happier than a kid that gets a toy present. You definitely hit the bullseye if your gift is a toy moreover if it is a toy that the kid always wanted!

Several years ago, I bought a very nice T-shirt with some famous character print on it and gave it as a present to a six-year-old boy. He was happy, he liked it and then said “Thank you. Now, where is my gift?” At that moment I decided, parents buy clothes and I buy toys.

Since that realization, I have become a kids’ famous lady. When it comes to my children, their dad is their hero. He can always make a toy. In case he cannot make it, he will buy it. If the toy breaks the kids don’t mind because “dad can fix it”.

Kids Want Toys not Clothes

I suggest that you let the parents do their job and buy what they have to buy. At least the kids have to love them, they are their only parents, but they don’t have to love you if you bring them something they don’t like. Don’t be boring and dull, you know they only like toys.

I know it is easier said than done. On one hand, it is simpler to go to the clothes shop and ask for a jersey for a specific age and choose the colour for a boy or a girl. On the other hand, buying a toy is not as scary as it looks, what’s more, it can be very exciting, too.
