What Are The Best Gifts For 3-Year-Old Boys? Ideas

Santa and a boy

It’s almost time to decorate the tree and fill your home with the fantastic smell of cinnamon homemade cookies. More importantly, it’s the time to make our kids joyful, to reward them for good behaviour. Even if they were not so good, I am sure it is not their fault. That means that all of them deserve presents.

Moderate crowds are becoming larger, people tenser and children impatient. It means it is high time we jump on the bus and grab the early offers now as they are not becoming more advantageous.

It always reminds me of the film where Schwarzenegger plays a father who promises his son to buy him a Turbo Man action doll. However, due to his business, he is late for Christmas shopping and the doll is sold out. The unfortunate father has to hunt up and look for the doll all over the city as well as fight the parents who unwillingly got into the Christmas rush and want the same doll. In the nick of time, this Turbo Man doll hunt ends in a much better way than with the doll purchase.

This is a fantastic family movie that all members will enjoy and love. Moreover, it is so meaningful and gives a clear moral of the story. It is worth seeing.

Christmas Presents

However, let’s discover what we are here for. What are the best gifts for 3-year-old boys?

A – Maze – Ing Puzzle

Arranging Game –  Funny Faces Tangram

Numbers Farm – Wooden Arranging Game

Traditional and natural but still Modern

A – Maze – Ing Puzzle

Puzzles are the best for this age. In the beginning, it is best to use puzzles that have an obvious result so that children would be able to evaluate the outcome of their work.

Start from the puzzles with the least number of pieces and observe your child’s abilities. You will know when is the right time to offer more complicated puzzles, so you will offer them puzzles with more pieces.

A child has to be supervised, instructed, advised and even helped but only when needed. Don’t interfere unnecessarily but be there for them. You can also play together if your child wants. But always be there for them. It will give them more support that will follow them through their lives. Isn’t it nice to know you have someone to hold your back?

When they have mastered those puzzles, you can give them more entertainment and knowledge with this a – maze – ing puzzle. It will occupy their attention with its entertaining activities and teach them so much.

Town Maze Magnetic Game

The knowledge it offers is about city life and activities, as well as colours and shapes.

Skills as the most important at this age are various. First of all, fine motor skills are perfected by using their hands to hold the toy and fingers to navigate the balls through the city parts of this toy.

Along with fine motor skills, children get orientation and perspective and improve spatial recognition. The other accompanied skills like problem-solving and critical thinking will start developing and enhancing thus preparing kids for more complicated tasks.

Arranging Game – Funny Faces Tangram

My son loves this game. It is so enticing and funny that he wants to play all day. The only problem is he wants me to play it with him. He invents his own rules, instructs me how to play and has a lot of fun.

Why do I say it is a problem when he has so much fun and learns a lot through it? Well, it is so difficult to organize regular work, work from home, chores and kids. Of course, they should not be affected by adult stuff, so in our family children are prioritized. So let’s devote our time to our mutual play. They will soon grow and we will be made redundant in their lives. Lol.

Tangram

The Funny Faces Tangram game is a fantastic imagination stimulator. It is a classic but modernized standard game that is very enticing. It includes 21 wooden standard Tangram geometric shapes nicely coloured with funny faces that make this game even more attractive.

It also includes 20 double-sided cards with creative ideas for starters (one star) to the experienced (three stars). Unleash their imagination and creativity.

Numbers Farm – Wooden Arranging Game

There is a wide range of wooden blocks on the market today. From natural sets to decorated sets for educational purposes. It is difficult to decide, although most parents are attracted to the coloured or nicely decorated ones.

I have written about wooden blocks, the choice of wood and the toys to start in this blog. You might want to take a look and get some basic ideas about how to choose the right toy for your child.

At the age of three, children have already learnt basic gross and motor skills. Now it is the time to practice them because practice makes perfect.

This set of blocks is coloured and decorated. Each block has a number printed on one side and the other side is used to teach animals and other farm items.

Apart from numbers, counting, basic mathematics and general knowledge about farm life, kids practice this set encourages children to practice creativity, imagination and communication.

Traditional blocks made of natural material still nicely and modernly shaped are my favourite this year. Everyone will love them, not only children.

Habba - 3D Viridis

There is another set, 3D Aerius 20 Wooden Blocks Stacking Game, of similar blocks, coloured dark blue, light blue and natural colour in the shape of a letter H and the + sign. This set is also amazing making so many creations possible. If purchased together, they will make a wonderful fit and provide even more fun and imaginative possibilities.

Honestly speaking, my son and I could not decide between these two sets. Both are very enticing and charming.

Honestly

I have provided you with several ideas that I hope you will like. You can look up more ideas in the category products on my website.

The modern world has finally dropped the conventional, old-fashioned boundary between boys’ and girls’ toys, so you can also check this blog for more ideas. From my experience, my daughter has always loved blue colour and balls. Concerning my son, he has never had the desire to touch the ball. He is a boy who likes fixing things, so broken toys make him very happy.

What is more important is to take care of the age-appropriate toys for your child and the material they are made of. Always look at the recommended age, but don’t take it for granted, check the dimensions, too. Think first, act later. Check everything before you make an order.

Concerning the material, I have always advised natural material in the hands of our successors. They need to stay healthy so don’t poison them from the beginning.

I also love Haba toys because they take so much care not only about our children’s health but also about the environment they live in. Their wood comes from sustainably managed forests. If we cut wood we have to replant it.

Make this Christmas special with quality Haba toys!
