I am a person who doesn’t like due dates, tension and pressure. My own pace, my rhythm and my style is the way I love to do my job. Sometimes things seem to go so smoothly without my conscious effort. At these times, I am able to work for days and nights without getting tired. Yet, there are days when I put a lot of effort but can’t manage anything. I get tired and the work is not done.
It is difficult when you have a boss and the obligatory working hours. You are supposed to be productive during this time. But it’s not always easy and attainable.
When you are your own boss, you can arrange your work according to your current feeling. If you get tired and the work remains unfinished, there is no point in straining yourself.
Relaxing job?
Feeling fed up with due dates, tension, stress and a lot of unpaid working hours, I decided to look up another opportunity. So I googled, read a lot and jotted down some basic information about all the jobs I was able to do. Affiliate marketing was the last resort but it turned out to be my first and only choice and here’s why.
All other jobs looked strenuous, required a lot but gave little. As I had already felt overwhelmed with this kind of pet peeve I looked for another opportunity.
I know pretty much about the internet but marketing is not the characteristic I am proud of. I have tried some real (not online) marketing in my life but it never looked promising. My main concern has always been how to make people buy what I have to sell. In real life, you have to coax people into spending money. I was raised strictly, to be honest, and help when I can.
After reading about many experiences of other people and listening to the introductory, free course on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, I realized that affiliate marketing needed me. Why me? Honest and helpful? Yes, it needs the Me, because I have always been helpful, never pushed or forced someone to buy things, just sharing my honest experience in order to help. Sharing experience rather than coaxing is needed for an efficient marketing affiliate. In online affiliate marketing, you need to help people buy and not sell to people. No one likes being “sold” to.
Choosing Wealthy Affiliate
Among many affiliate sites, I have chosen Wealthy Affiliate because I read a very good review from a person who had already tried many other marketing platforms and ended up with one and only choice. To be honest, I didn’t want to lose much time and money on trying out platforms, so I joined for free and started the introductory free course through the affiliate link of the man whose review I read.
The man was honest and very helpful. He gave me several pieces of advice but never pushed or asked me about my future intentions here. The Wealthy Affiliate community was very pleasant, welcoming me and encouraging me to ask whenever I needed help. That is how I learned I didn’t want to miss this opportunity.
The free training at the beginning was amazing. I’d rather do the practice than listen to the theory which was quite the case here. You could hear so much and DO so much at the very beginning. You start making the site for free and only then you can decide if you want to continue or stop there.
My Experience So Far
To cut my story short, I am very satisfied with my work so far. I haven’t made any money during these 5 months on the WA platform, but I haven’t had much time to work. As I have my regular job and two kids, one of which finished her primary school and took her final exams and entrance exams for secondary school, it’s been very difficult to work.
The more work and the more effort you put in, the more you can expect and earn through the marketing affiliate program. It is a great opportunity if you are free and you can devote your whole self to this venture.
In my short but rich experience, I can say that the WA community is fantastic. The first time you register, many people welcome you with warm words and encouraging comments. They say they will be there for you if you need help. Truly, they are! They are ready to spend hours with you to fix your problem and help you continue your work to success.
Not only the WA community gets your back, but you can also rely on the WA founder’s help. Kyle and Carson often drop a comment or a message to ask about your progress. They take part in discussions and respond to questions. They are ready to help you whenever you need it. I haven’t tried other platforms, but people who have say that they don’t even know who the founders of those other platforms are.
How Does It Function?
First of all, you register for free and start the training that teaches you how to do affiliate marketing through blogging. You learn how to create a website in order to write honest reviews of products (blogs). When those products get sold, through your links, you get a commission, which usually goes from 10% to 70% depending on the product or the seller. This way, you are the link that connects the customer and the seller and you get paid for it.
Free training is meant for people to see how this all works, to experience the Wealthy Affiliate platform and the community and bring their own decision based on their own experience. Therefore, it is not fraudulent, you see what you buy before you buy it.

Next, when you have passed the free training and learnt the basics of site creation and affiliate marketing you are offered to upgrade to premium in order to continue your training and work on your new position – affiliate marketer. Anyhow, the next steps are obvious, you are following the course, making your website, writing blogs, attracting the public and at some point, you start earning money. It is not fast, especially if you are inexperienced and this is your side hustle as is the case with me. But we certainly will make the money!
Of course, there is the cost of going premium. Education is never free, especially marketing education, but from my point of view, for a person who is thrifty, it is worth it!

It is a relaxing job because you can do it in your pyjamas or bikini wherever you are. There is no pressure or due dates. The more work you put into your site, the more you can expect in return.
This platform is perfect for people who already have their business and want to upgrade it. At the same time, it is perfect for people who want to start their own business, work from “home” and have their free time for themselves.
